“Yet what we suffer now is nothing when compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.” Romans 8:18
Labor pains, we women who have had children can remember them. In the moment we are suffering we may be thinking it sure would be nice if men had to suffer like that. Funny thing though, that once the baby is in our arms the pain is forgotten. How strange that such a painful period of time just fades away when the child is in our arms.
Yes we will suffer. Oh it will hurt. While enduring suffering we might be angry or afraid. Keep in mind, however, that something better than the suffering awaits. Tears may flood your bed in the darkness, but morning will come and so will joy. Suffering comes before glory. Pleasure often leads to pain. So hang in there. Your suffering will some day end.
