What Goes Around Comes Around
“Then the king gave orders to arrest the men who had maliciously accused Daniel. He had them thrown into the lion’s den along with their wives and children. The lions leaped on them and tore them apart event before they hit the floor of the den.” Daniel 6:24
When you set a trap for others it might well be used to trap you. Such was the case with those who tried to get rid of Daniel.
Over and over in scripture I have seen a pattern. What you give out tends to be what you get. Good deeds tend to bring back good deeds to the giver. Evil actions tend to bring evil upon the ones doing them. You get what you give. Thus those who tried to trap Daniel ended up facing the fate they had in mind for Daniel. And their evil actions also brought judgment on their families. Yes the family of an evil person does suffer, even if said family had nothing to do with what was done.
Let us win the world for Christ by our good works. Daniel found favor with the king because of his works. That is how the world works. To do what you know to be wrong, that too will change how folks see you. Cheat your employees out of money owed and you will reap a lack of loyalty. Take items from work that you do not have permission to take and you will not be trusted. Yes in this world your own actions have much to do with how others treat you. So live your life like it matters. After all, it matters to God.
