What Will You Do When Under Attack?
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power your majesty. But even if he doesn’t, your majesty, we want to make it clear to you that we will never serve your gods or worship the statue you have set up.” Daniel 3:17-18
Most would serve a god who always answered prayers with a yes, but what if he said no? Faced with death by fire these three men stood their ground. Would you?
Verse 18 gives us something to ponder. “But even if he won’t,” just isn’t something we want to think about. These three men risked their lives to do right. They refused to bow down and worship what the king told them to worship. Can we apply this idea in our day?
Taking a bold stand takes courage, something these men had, but many in our day do not. I actually think we do face this kind of concept in our day. We Christians are indeed under attack. Will you continue to follow and worship Christ or will you go along to get along?
So what do I mean by saying we need to take a stand? Are your kids in the public school and are they being taught Critical Race Theory (CRT), gender neutrality, sex is for all, abortion is a valid contraceptive and more? Then what are you doing about it? Do you let it be because you just don’t have the time to fight? Do you simply accept that what will be will be? Could you actually take a stand at a school board meeting? Could you home school your kids so that they will not be forced to go along with this? These are your kids we speak of. Will you take a stand and perhaps face some nasty consequences or will you just pray God protects them and go about your life pretending it won’t corrupt them? Do you have the courage of these three who faced the furnace?
