A Survival Kit Is Emergency Preparedness
An unpredictable world can cause uncertainty and we are not always aware of it’s potential danger that creeps throughout and we do not always see that it literally lurks around every nook and cranny. Weather disturbances, terrorist attacks, power outages, and any number of things can happen at any moment, and because of this, family survival kits are more critical than ever.
We are told, these days, to be mindful of suspicious folks today. We are told to take protection during storms. We are even told to have basic emergency kits in our homes and cars. Nobody, however, is emphasizing the importance of emergency deftness with family survival kits.
A family survival kit is not the same thing as a first aid kit. A survival kit will, however, must contain a first aid kit. In fact, for families, there is actually more than one kit involved. Each member of the family really should have a kit or bag ready, and then there must be one added kit or bag containing items for the whole family. Your survival gear should be packed to contain at minimum emergency items for three days or seventy-two hours.
Individual survival kits should contain necessary clothing, doctor prescribed medications, a flashlight, extra batteries, and particular hygiene products. Only pack what is necessary in these bags. You do not need three pairs of shoes, makeup, and things of this nature. Personalized kits must also contain adequate non-perishable freeze dried food and water for that person, and a warm blanket. When putting together this kit, consider carefully about what that individual needs to survive for three days.
The survival kit really should contain further survival food, water, the first aid kit, a can opener, extra Battery power, a pocket knife, pen and paper, cash, lighters,a wallet, bank account information candles, flares, water proof matches, a tiny axe and a fold up shovel, rope, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, duct tape and a fold up shovel. Remember to bring along critical family documents, a credit card and a pre-paid phone card.
The biggest mistake that anyone can make these days is denying that this can never happen that would cause you to need family survival kits. If you live in a smaller town, you probably are not afraid of terrorist assaults. You must, however, fear tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, or other pure disasters. Blackouts happen in tiny cities just like they happen in big metropolitan areas.
When any crisis comes about, you really have no way of perceiving how long it may take for rescue or help to reach you. In some cases, there may not be help returning anytime soon, and if you do not have survival food and family survival kits, a bad situation can turn into a fearful situation where lives are literally at stake. Hurricane Katrina, which transpired in 2005 and killed over 1800 men and women is a primary example of this, and just another explanation why crisis readiness is so important for the security and survival of your family.
Family survival kits and an individual survival kit need to be taken with significant urgency. If you have not purchased and supplied your family with survival kits and survival food already, you need to take steps to get these life preserving kits put together Today. In no way can you be certain to know what may happen tomorrow.
