“Charismatic” is derived from the New Testament Greek term charisma, translated “gift.” Charismatic theology holds to a belief in a spiritual experience subsequent to salvation commonly known as the baptism of the Holy Spirit [Kinnaman, Gary D., “And Signs Shall Follow” (Chosen Books) p. 13].
