Access, Influence, Outcomes
In today’s information age, your access to relevant information will influence what you believe to be true and to a large part determine the outcomes in life you experience.
My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. – Hosea 4:6
Instead of critically thinking for ourselves, we have been taught in our public educational institutions and reinforced in mass media to accept without question the information of authorities.
We’re told, for example, “the science is settled” regarding climate change. Consider, though, what a few years ago was a threat of global cooling morphed into a threat of global warming. Remember all that hype about a collapsing ozone layer and the impending doom for humans? Or, what about the polar ice melting leaving us to treading water? After years of doom and gloom predictions proving false they were forced to drop the global cooling or warming labels to a more benign “climate change”.
For Al Gore and other environmentalists, the Judeo-Christain faith is the source of ecological evil. He asserts it is ignorant Christians who are afraid to open their minds to teachings outside their own system of belief who have become a dangerous threat to the survival of humanity…blights on the environment. The science is only settled for those few globalist fear mongers hoping to capitalize off the expensive solutions they offer. The rest of the scientific community does not buy into their pseudo-science and instead presents a more balanced view of the environment with more established geophysical science.
Follow the Science
I’m sure you’ve heard “follow the science” over and over again in today’s Covid world.
The problem is we are not presented the “science”. Instead we are told by “authorities” and the mainstream media what the science means, usually completely divorced from the actual science. Some of these so-called authorities will claim the data shows one thing, but when you look at the actual data, it says something completely opposite. It’s as if Orwellian doublethink has become their mantra. We’re told we cannot understand the science and therefore need to listen to somebody else’s interpretations.
I appreciate these experts and their knowledge, the names, organizations, and terminology they throw out there. Those are all great things to investigate further. If I don’t know what they are referring to, I can check it out for myself and gain knowledge.
I’m not criticizing the scientific method, it’s the false narrative created by the “creative” interpretation of the science by a third party.
Knowledge is Power
– Francis Bacon
I’m not suggesting to reject everything a so-called authority says or to reject outright the reporting by the media. What I am saying is to question everything they say, research the facts yourself, pray about it, and make up your own mind whether to accept the premise of their argument. Apply some common sense to evaluate whether their claims even make sense.
While the Internet has been for many a treasure trove of information, it also presents some challenges. Some might say, “I heard it on the Internet so it must be true.” In today’s environment of social media, fake news, deep fakes, and propaganda, seeing something on the Internet does NOT necessarily make it accurate. When you see something that catches your attention in social media, before you pass it along to your friends check it out closer. Do a little research and see if there is any secondary sources reporting the same thing.
I’ve heard many say they don’t know WHO to believe. I get it. It’s difficult sometimes to weed out the legitimate voices from the charlatans. You’ve got to consider who these authorities are you’re hearing? Can they be trusted? What’s their reputation? What’s their agenda? I suggest if you’ll prayerfully seek God’s wisdom in this, He will direct your steps.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6
I know it’s difficult and takes time, but you’ve got to do your own research and make up your own mind. God gave us a brain and I believe He expects us to use it. Don’t be led around like sheep going to the slaughter. There are plenty of people reporting the news where claims are backed up with links to their evidence. James Corbett and Ryan Cristián are examples of people documenting everything they say. You don’t have to take their word for anything, you can check out the references that leads them to their conclusion and see if it makes sense to you.
Rather than accepting Lester Holt’s proclamation that we all need to wear facemasks to protect others, wouldn’t it make sense to see if that were even accurate? He may tell us the science proves facemasks are effective, but what does the science actually say? Even Dr. Fauci was telling us back in early 2020 that facemasks were not needed only to flip that script months later to where multiple masks are now recommended.
How many times have you heard the so-called Covid vaccines were safe and effective? Wolf Blitzer may report that the vaccines are 95% effective in preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2, but have you ever questioned how he arrives at that conclusion? The manufacturers of the vaccines themselves admit their experimental gene therapies do not prevent infection or the spread of infection. They are only effective in reducing the symptoms experienced by those infected. As for the safety of the vaccines, how many mainstream media reports have you heard about the thousands of people injured by the vaccine and the hundreds of people who have died?
The federal government paid hundreds of media companies to advertise the COVID-19 vaccines while those same outlets provided positive coverage of the vaccines. Hundreds of news organizations were paid by the federal government to advertise for the vaccines as part of a “comprehensive media campaign,” according to documents TheBlaze obtained from the Department of Health and Human Services.
And, here’s the rub in the 21st Century…
There is a war going on for your mind – it’s an information war. Your access to information is increasingly being controlled by Big Tech companies that are restricting your access to a full range of viewpoints.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 was another example of the propaganda wars being fought to influence your opinion of what’s going on. The Western corporate media repeats their narrative that Putin’s Russia was unprovoked in their invasion of Ukraine. Rarely, if ever, do they report this war has been going on since 2014 and Ukraine has repeatedly violated the Minsk Protocol. I suspect most American do not even know what that Minsk agreement was about. When Putin went to the air to explain his reason for invading Ukraine, the Western media portrayed him as a crazy man rambling on about years of history you’re expected to ignore.
On 21 February 2022, Russia officially recognized the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, two self-proclaimed states controlled by pro-Russian forces in the Donbas. The following day, Russia’s Federation Council unanimously authorized Putin to use military force outside Russia’s borders, and Russia openly sent troops into the breakaway territories.
Promoting the questionable narrative that Ukraine is united in their defense, media outlets across the globe posted a photograph of Former Miss Ukraine Anastasiaa Lenna brandishing a firearm with the warning, “Everyone who crosses the Ukrainian border with the intent to invade will be killed.” The propaganda being that even the women are taking up arms to defend their homeland. Problem is.. Miss Lenna will not kill many invaders with her airsoft gun – described as an assault weapon.
No doubt there’s likely numerous Ukrainian citizens, including women, who have taken up arms to help fend off Russians. Lenna says in her social media posts that she is not military and her posts are meant to inspire people. Well, that’s fine and commendable of her. But, for the media to misportray her holding an “assault weapon” is fake news and propaganda.
While the kind of censorship we see today may protect sensitive ears from hearing what they don’t want to hear, it does great harm to anyone seeking information on all sides of an issue. Most people are being subjected to a highly curated flow of information by biased Godless collectivist organizations with an unspoken agenda. They are only hearing that crafted message that conforms to the official narrative and nothing else. It is not surprising they have a distorted view of the world – they are only hearing that side of the debate.
Instead, I believe people should have access to all sides of an issue so they can make their own choices. When people are told the facts by trusted authorities, they can do the right thing even without a Big Brother watching over their shoulders. A self-motivated and well-informed population is usually far more powerful and effective than a policed, ignorant population.
“We must know all the facts and hear all the alternatives and listen to all the criticisms. Let us welcome controversial books and controversial authors. For the Bill of Rights is the guardian of our security as well as our liberty.” – John F. Kennedy
If you rely only on the corporate owned mainstream media or just a few select resources for your information, you will be information deficient. Without doing your due diligence and looking at several diverse viewpoints, you simply will not have an accurate perspective of reality and will end up making some pretty illogical conclusions.
I’ve said many times and in many places on this website and elsewhere not to take my word for anything. Look in to it yourself and make up your own mind. I’m only providing you information I’ve learned and pray you will investigate yourself to learn the truth.
At the end of the day, God is about results (outcomes). I am about the process. Just as I’m told to share the gospel (the process), I cannot save anybody… that’s God’s job.
We need to inform and influence those around us. God bless those missionaries, for example, in foreign lands sharing the gospel and doing the work they’re doing. But, we mustn’t overlook those closer to us… our family members, our next door neighbor, our cul de sac neighborhood, our HOA’s, our church community, and those that live in our towns.
If you’re not telling them… they will not hear. They are likely getting their news from the corporate mainstream media and as such, haven’t got a clue about what is really going on around them. Many of them are attending churches where the pulpits are silent about anything controversial and are being led down that road to spiritual apostasy and destruction.
I cannot be silent, nor should you. Stand up and take responsibility for your life and what goes into your brain. Get informed and begin to influence those around you. Encourage them to do the same. Don’t allow yourself to become a pawn in somebody else’s game. Take responsibility and become the authority God created you to be.
God uses people to accomplish His will. Esther is a good example.
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14
