The violence in our schools is not surprising as we see the spirit of lawlessness breaking out across America! It is the result of the seeds godless liberals have sown for years.

Cultural Marxist’s have all but outlawed God in the public schools, removed the 10 Commandments from the view of students, and turned our public schools into heavily fortified “gun free” zones. Instead of fire drills, children are now being subjected to active shooter drills.

Every day in America, 13 children under the age of 20 are murdered, according to the Children’s Defense Fund. It is evidence of what Princeton professor John J. DiIulio Jr. has suggested about a “rising tide of super-predators.”

Studies made in previous years predicted that by 1998, America would see a dramatic increase in crimes committed by juveniles.

Well folks, we’re seeing it now!

Teenagers have lost all respect for authority – they are becoming hard-hearted, sensual and violent. And, they are documenting their own violence with cell phone cameras and posting the results on YouTube. They are writing detailed manifestos describing how they arrived at their twisted perspective and detailing WHY they are killing.

Time magazine called it a “deadly love affair,” while Newsweek said it was a “virtual epidemic” sweeping our nation. They are talking about young people and guns.

While FBI reports indicate that violent crime has dropped 4 percent, juvenile crime has risen. “The increases in violence we’re observing are among very young people and they are very dramatic,” said Glenn Pierce, the director of Northeastern’s Center for Applied Social Research. In 1996, nearly 93,000 juveniles were charged in violent crimes — a number 60 percent higher than a decade ago. In 1996 alone, more than 2,000 juveniles were charged with murder.

The Washington Post concluded, “While the severity of actions range from simple cheating at school to pushing drugs, to cold-blooded murders … the depth of the problem has reached a point where common decency can no longer be described as common. Somewhere, somehow … the traditional value system got disconnected for a disturbing number of America’s next generation.”

Twenty percent of suburban high schoolers surveyed by Tulane University researchers thought it was appropriate to shoot someone “who has stolen something from you.” Eight percent believed it is all right to shoot a person who had “done something to offend or insult you.”

In 2007, the Justice Department issued reports showing that each day more than a hundred thousand children come to school with guns and knives. A University of Michigan study reports that 9 percent of eighth-graders carry a gun, knife or club to school at least once a month. In all, an estimated 270,000 guns go to school every day. U.S. News and World Report estimated that there are more than three million crimes committed in the public schools every year. That amounts to more than seventeen thousand crimes every single day. There are two thousand cases each month where teachers are assaulted or raped.

Survey of School Violence

I’ve attempted to document over the years many of the teen violence events occurring in the U.S. but have been overwhelmed at the number of them and have largely given up on this survey.
Nonetheless, following are some of the violent acts carried out by our nation’s youth. Keep in mind these are only some of the reported cases… there are many more occurring every day that never sees the light of day in the mainstream media.  According to Education Week, there have been 26 school shootings so far in 2022 and 118 incidents since 2018. The highest number of shootings in this span, 34, occurred in 2021. There were 10 shootings in 2020, and 24 each in 2019 and 2018.

• May 24, 2022:  18-year-old Salvador Ramos entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas and shot various students. 21 people were killed; 19 students and two adults. The gunman was killed in a shootout with responding police officers.
• May 7, 2019: Two shooters killed 1 student and injured 8 others at STEM School Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
• April 30, 2019: A shooter on the University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus killed 2 and injured 4 on the last day of classes.
• February 12, 2019: During a basketball game at the Central Academy of Excellence in Kansas City, Missouri, an argument between two groups led to the groups being escorted out in a staggered fashion. However, as the second group was being escorted out 15-year old Anjanique Wright in the group was shot and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Two female students (Jamya D. Norfleet, 21 and Taylor McMillon, 18) were charged with her murder.
• September 5, 2018: William Parsons, a 15-year-old student at Central High School, was shot and killed outside Providence Career and Technical Academy in Providence, Rhode Island. Police said that two young men got into an altercation and shots were fired, hitting the victim, who was uninvolved. The 16-year-old suspect accidentally shot and injured himself while trying to get away.
• May 18, 2018: Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas was evacuated when fire alarms were pulled at 7:45 am after students said they had heard gunshots. The shooter (Dimitrios Pagourtzis) started in the art room, then went through the art hallway killing 10 and injuring 13. The shooter had a Remington 870 shotgun and a .38 caliber revolver. Multiple IEDs, pressure cookers, Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs, propane tanks, and other homemade explosives were also found around the school and parking lot.
• March 20, 2018: Great Mills High School in Great Mills, Maryland was placed on lockdown after a shooting occurred in the morning. A 17-year-old male student, armed with a handgun, shot and fatally injured a female student (with whom he had a prior relationship) and wounded a male student. The student shot himself in the head, fatally, while the school resource officer simultaneously shot at him.
• March 7, 2018: One student was killed and another injured when shots were fired in the Huffman High School building in Birmingham, Alabama, prompting the school to go into lockdown shortly after the bell rang for school dismissal. Law enforcement originally labeled the shooting as “accidental”. Subsequently, a 17-year-old male student was charged with manslaughter and was charged as “being a certain person forbidden to possess a pistol”. Although the school has metal detectors, they were not being used that day.
• February 14, 2018: A 19-year-old former student (Nikolas Cruz) whose behavior had led to his expulsion began shooting students and staff members with a rifle at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida after activating a fire alarm. Seventeen people were killed, and 17 others were injured.
• January 23, 2018: Gabriel Ross Parker, a 15-year-old male student shot 16 people in the lobby at Marshall County High School in Marshall County, Kentucky and caused non-gunshot injuries to four others. Two 15-year-old students died: one killed at the scene, another died of wounds at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
• September 13, 2017:  Three students were injured and one killed after a shooter opened fire Freeman High School in Rockford, Washington. The suspect was armed with an AR-15 and a Pistol. He shot one student with the AR-15, but the gun jammed so he switched to his pistol. He killed one student after shooting him twice in the stomach and once in the head. He was stopped by a janitor. The suspect, a 15-year-old student, (Caleb Sharpe) was taken into police custody.
• October 18, 2016: Four students were shot outside June Jordan High School for Equity, a San Francisco public high school. One female victim was in critical condition, while three male victims suffered minor injuries. Two people were arrested in the shooting.
• September 28, 2016: Two students and one teacher were wounded after a teen opened fire at Townville Elementary School in Townville, South Carolina. The suspect’s father was found dead at his home soon after the shooting. One of the victims, six-year-old Jacob Hall, died 3 days after the shooting.
• September 9, 2016: A 14-year-old female student shot a 16-year-old girl in an Alpine High School restroom in Alpine, Texas before committing suicide.
• June 8, 2016: One student was killed and three other individuals were injured when gunfire erupted outside of the Jeremiah Burke High School in Dorchester, Massachusetts following a fire-alarm causing an evacuation of the school.
• April 23, 2016:  Two students at a prom at Antigo High School in Antigo, Wisconsin were shot and injured by 18-year-old former student Jakob Wagner. Wagner later exchanged fire with a school resource officer in the school’s parking lot, and was captured after being shot and wounded by police. He died hours later in a hospital.
• February 29, 2016: 15-year-old Cameron Smith, and 14-year-old Cooper Caffrey, were shot when 14-year-old James Austin Hancock, opened fire in the Madison High School cafeteria in Middletown, Ohio with a .380 caliber handgun. 15-year-old Brant Murray, and 14-year-old Katherine Douchette, also suffered shrapnel injuries. Hancock was apprehended in a nearby wooded field.
• November 20, 2015: A 16-year-old student was fatally shot during a fight after school hours that involved multiple people on the campus of Mojave High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
• October 9, 2015:  One student died and three others were wounded in a shooting at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. It is unclear what sparked the shooting, which took place near Mountain View Hall, a dormitory that houses most of the campus’ students involved in Greek organizations. An 18-year-old student was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
• October 1, 2015:  A gunman, later identified as 26-year-old student Christopher Harper-Mercer, opened fire in a hall on the Umpqua Community College campus in Roseburg, Oregon, killing eight students and one teacher, and injuring nine others. The gunman later committed suicide after engaging responding police officers in a brief gunfight.
• September 3, 2015:  A man was arguing with at least one other person escalated into a physical fight on the parking lot of Sacramento CityCollege. A man opened fire, killing a 25-year-old student and wounding two others. The shooting suspects: Tevita Kaihea and Charlie Hola (both 19 years old) were not arrested for the shooting until December of that year and in 2018 Kaihea was sentenced to 112 years to life in prison and Hola was sentenced to 49 years to life.
• April 13, 2015: A faculty member was killed with a rifle in the school library of Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The suspected 20-year-old gunman, Kenneth Stancil, was arrested in Florida the next day. Stancil was later sentenced to life without parole for the murder.
• February 23, 2015:  Two students argued outside the music building at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida when one pulled out a gun. Both had guns and it is not disclosed who did the shooting, injuring three students.
• December 12, 2014: A gunman shot three students and a man outside Rosemary Anderson High School in north Portland. A 16-year-old girl was in critical condition, while the others suffered minor injuries. Two men, aged eighteen and twenty-two, were arrested in connection with the shooting.
• October 24, 2014:  15-year-old freshman, Jaylen Fryberg, shot five students in the school cafeteria of Marysville Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington, fatally wounding four, before committing suicide.
• October 3, 2014:  After a homecoming football game in Fairburn, Georgia, a fatal shooting of 17-year-old Kristofer Hunter, occurred in the Langston Hughes High School parking lot. The assailant, 18-year-old Eric Dana Johnson Jr., turned himself in a week later.
• June 10, 2014: A lone gunman dressed in black body armor entered Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon, killing one student and injuring a teacher. This fatal shooting at Reynolds High School is the 74th shooting on an American school campus since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012.
• June 5, 2014: Three people were shot in a hallway at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington. One person was killed, and another person received life-threatening injuries. The shooter was disarmed by staff members and apprehended at the scene. The suspected shooter is 26-year-old Aaron Ybarra.
• May 23, 2014: 22-year-old Elliot Rodger killed six people in a stabbing and shooting rampage around the city of Isla Vista, California. Three men were stabbed to death at Rodger’s home; two of them were his roommates, and the third was a visitor. Two of the victims were shot and killed at a University of California, Santa Barbara sorority house, and a third victim was wounded there. Rodger opened fire outside a deli, killing a male student, and then engaged in a gun battle with law enforcement officers. He later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
• May 2, 2014: A 14-year-old student was stabbed in the chest at Friendship Academy of Science and Technology in Baltimore, Maryland during an altercation with another student. A 17-year-old, Sharrod Alston, was charged with first and second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and possession with a deadly weapon.
• May 1, 2014: A 13-year-old student was stabbed and injured during a school fire drill at Los Banos Junior High School in Los Banos, California. A 14-year-old classmate was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident. A folding knife was believed to be the weapon used.
• Apr 25, 2014: A 16-year-old female student was stabbed to death in the hallways of Jonathan Law High School in Milford, Connecticut. 16-year-old student, Chris Plaskon, was charged in the murder.
• Apr 18, 2014: A 16-year-old was stabbed with a pocket knife three times at Piper High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida during an argument about a basketball game. 18-year-old student, Kimanie King, was arrested and charged.

• Apr 9, 2014: 16-year-old student Alex Hribal allegedly went on a stabbing rampage through classrooms and halls of the Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania,.
• Mar. 26, 2014: A 19-year-old student stabbed another student in the shoulder with a steak knife during a fight at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
• Mar. 25, 2014: A 16-year-old stabbed another 16-year-old girl during a fight at Valley View High School in Ontario, California.
• Feb. 10, 2014: A 16-year-old student was shot in the stomach on the campus of Salisbury High School in Salisbury, North Carolina. A 17-year-old suspect is wanted in connection with the shooting.
• Jan. 27, 2014: A group of students at Rebound High School in Carbondale, Illinois, got in an argument in the school’s parking lot. One student pulled out a gun and shot another student in the ensuing altercation. 18-year old Omari A. Tinsley is facing charges of attempted murder.
• Jan. 24, 2014: A student Brandon Robinson was shot and killed near dormitory at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Police arrested 19-year-old Justin Bernard Singleton and charged him with murder.
• Jan. 21, 2014: 23-year-old Cody Cousins allegedly shot and killed Andrew Boldt, a senior year undergraduate student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The shooting took place in a classroom in the university’s electrical engineering building.
• Jan. 17, 2014: Brenton Helstock was shot once in the left forearm after a verbal altercation with a suspect now identified as 16-year-old Rico Cheyenn Fields at Albany High School in Albany, Georgia.
• Jan. 17, 2014: Two students were shot and injured in the gymnasium of Delaware Valley Charter School in Philadelphia. 17-year-old student, Reisheem Rochwell, was arrested and charged as an adult for attempted murder.
• Jan. 14, 2014: An 11-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were shot and wounded at Berrendo Middle School in Roswell, New Mexico. A 12-year-old suspect, Mason Campbell, was arrested at the scene after a teacher convinced him to drop the shotgun. A staff member received minor injuries.
• Jan. 13, 2014: A 14-year-old boy was shot outside of a basketball game at the Hillhouse High School athletic facility in New Haven, Connecticut.
• Jan. 9, 2014: A 16-year-old student was charged shooting a fellow classmate in the thigh at Liberty Technology Magnet High School in Jackson, Tennessee.
• Dec. 16, 2013: A student stabbed two students with scissors at Lee Middle School in Bradenton, Florida.
• Dec. 13, 2013: 18-year-old male student Karl Pierson opened fire with a shotgun at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado, critically wounding a 17-year-old female student, Claire Davis. Pierson then committed suicide by shooting himself. Davis died from her injuries eight days later. It was reported that Pierson was looking for the school librarian who had disciplined him, and intended to shoot him, but the faculty member had left the building before the shooting.
• Dec. 4, 2013: A 15-year-old student was shot and wounded by a 17-year-old student at West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida.
• Nov. 19, 2013: Joshua Hathaway, 19, a freshman at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia was killed after he pulled out a hammer from his clothing and assaulted a security officer in the dormitory’s lobby. The officer fired two shots in response, striking Hathaway at least once.
• Nov. 13, 2013: A 15-year-old student died after being punched twice as he was exiting a classroom at Canyon High School in New Braunfels, Texas.
• Nov. 13, 2013: At least one gunman opened fire on three students as they were walking to their cars at Brashear High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. One student was grazed in the head, another was struck in the neck and shoulder, and a third was hit in the leg and foot. Six people were taken into custody.
• Oct. 2013: Colleen Ritzer, a 24-year-old algebra teacher was punched several times and then stabbed to death with a box cutter inside a restroom in Danvers High School in Danvers, Massachusetts. Ritzer’s body was then disposed. Her body was found in the woods behind the school’s campus. Police arrested a 14-year-old student, Philip Chism, and indicted on charges of murder, aggravated rape and armed robbery.
• October 2013: A 7-year-old student was stabbed by another 7-year-old student at Wire Village School in Spencer, Massachusetts. The victim was hospitalized for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
• Oct. 2013: 12-year-old seventh grade student, Jose Reyes, opened fire with a Ruger 9 mm semi-automatic handgun at Sparks Middle School in Sparks, Nevada. A 12-year-old male student was hit in the shoulder and wounded. A teacher, Michael Landsberry, tried to intervene and was fatally shot in the chest. Reyes then shot and wounded another male student in the abdomen who tried to come to Landsberry’s assistance as he fell onto the ground. The shooter then committed suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
• December 2012: Twenty-six people, including 20 six and seven year old children were shot and killed inside Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut by a 20-year-old Adam Lanza, who shot to death his mother in their home and then murdered 26 people at an elementary school before killing himself.
• February 2012: Six students were shot by 17 year-old T.J. Lane at Chardon High School in Chardon, Ohio killing three students.
• March 2011: An 18-year-old man died and five other people were injured when two people opened fire during a football game at Worthing High School in Houston.
• January 2011: Two people were shot dead and two others injured by 17 year-old Robert Butler Jr., at Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska. He later committed suicide in a parking lot.
• February 2010: 15-year-old Hammad Memon shot and killed another Discover Middle School student Todd Brown in Huntsville, Alabama. Memon had a history for being treated for ADHD and depression. He was taking the antidepressant Zoloft and “other drugs for the conditions.” He had been seeing a psychiatrist and psychologist.
• March 2009: Fifteen people were shot and killed at Albertville Technical High School in southwestern Germany by a 17-year-old boy who attended the same school.
• November 2008: 15-year-old Teah Wimberly was charged in the shooting death of Amanda Collette, 15, on the campus of Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
• October 2008: Four suspects, Kawin Brockton, 19, Kelsey Perry, 19, Mario Tony, 20, and Brandon Wade, 20 were charged in a shooting that took place on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway AR. Two students – Ryan Henderson, 18, and Chavares Block, 19 – were fatally shot. A third person, 19-year-old Martrevis Norman, a non-student visiting the campus, was shot in a leg and was treated at the nearby Conway Regional Medical Center.
• August 2008: Fifteen-year-old sophomore Ryan McDonald, was shot and killed by fellow sophomore student Jamar Siler, also 15 in the school cafeteria at Central High School in the Fountain City neighborhood of Knoxville, Tennessee. The two had been in previous altercations, the details of which were not released to the general public.
• February 2008: 27-year-old Steven Kazmierczak shot and killed five people and wounded 21 others before killing himself on the campus of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. According to his girlfriend, he had recently been taking Prozac, Xanax and Ambien. Toxicology results showed that he still had trace amount of Xanax in his system. He had been seeing a psychiatrist.
• February 2008: Fourteen-year-old Brandon McInerney, a student at E.O. Green Junior High School in Oxnard, California shot and killed fellow fifteen-year-old student, Lawrence “Larry” Fobes King.
• February 2008: 17-year-old student Cornelius Cheers opened fire in the Mitchell High School cafeteria in Memphis TN, critically wounding 19-year-old student Stacey Kiser. The school was locked down for the rest of the day and the perpetrator was arrested and taken into custody.
• February 2008: 23-year-old nursing student, Latina Williams, opened fire six rounds with a .357 revolver in a second-floor classroom at the Baton Rouge campus of Louisiana Technical College before turning the gun on herself and committing suicide. The two victims were Karsheika Graves and Taneshia Butler, who were both fatally shot.
• October 2007: Two teachers and two students were shot at SuccessTech High School in Cleveland, Ohio before shooter, Asa Coon, committed suicide. Court records show Coon had been placed on the antidepressant Trazodone.
• September 2007: Delaware State University student, Loyer Braden, shoots two fellow students, killing one.
• August 2007: Known as the Newark Schoolyard Killings, three Delaware State University students were forced to kneel against an elementary school wall and were shot execution-style by 28-year old Jose Carranza and two 15-year old juveniles.
• April 2007: 33 people are dead after two separate shootings at Virginia Tech, making it the worst school shooting in US history. On April 16, 2007, Cho Seung-Hui, a senior in the English department, who the South Korean Foreign Ministry said had been living in the United States since 1992, was the only suspect named in connection with the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history.
• March 2005: Jeff Weise stormed into Red Lake High School on a Monday afternoon and shot to death an unarmed guard, a teacher and five students before killing himself. Before the Red Lake shootings, Weise, allegedly shot dead his grandfather and his grandfather’s girlfriend at the home he shared with them.
• February 2004: 16-year-old Jon Romano strolled into his high school in east Greenbush, New York and opened fire with a shotgun. Special education teacher Michael Bennett was hit in the leg. Romano had been taking “medication for depression”. He had previously seen a psychiatrist.
• September 2003: Two students were killed at Rocori High School in Cold Spring Minnesota. Student John Jason McLaughlin, who was 15 at the time, was convicted and currently serving a life sentence in prison.
• October 2002: An angry Tuscon AZ student shot and killed 3 nursing professors after he was not allowed to take an exam.
• A Springfield, MA teacher stabbed in the classroom in Dec. 2001 by an angry student after being told to remove his coat hood during class.
• April 2001: Sixteen-year-old Cory Baadsgaard took a rifle to his high school in Wahluke, Washington and held 23 classmates and a teacher hostage. He had been taking the antidepressant Effexor.
• A 14 yr old Santee CA student kills two students and wounds 13 others including a security guard in March 2001.
• March 2001: 18-year-old Jason Hoffman, on the antidepressants Celexa and Effexor, opened fire on his classmates, wounding three students and two teachers at Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, California. He had been seeing a psychiatrist before the shooting.
• March 2001: 14-year-old Elizabeth Bush was taking the antidepressant Prozac when she shot at fellow students, wounding one in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
• In August, 2000, a Lake Worth, Florida 13 y/o shooter kills teacher in the summer school program.
• March 2000: A 19 yr old shooter in Savannah, Georgia kills 2 and leaves 1 wounded.
• A 7 yr. old 1st grade student in Flint, Michigan shoots and kills another 6yr old.
• May 1999: 15-year-old T.J. Solomon was being treated with the stimulant Ritalin when he opened fire on and wounded six of his classmates in Conyers, Georgia.
• On April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, two students in black trench coats fired guns and set off pipebombs that killed students and faculty members inside Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. After mercilessly killing 14 people and wounding 24 others, they turned their weapons on themselves. Harris was on the antidepressant Luvox. Klebold’s medical records remain sealed. Both shooters had been in anger-management classes and had undergone counseling. Harris had been seeing a psychiatrist before the shooting.
• April 16, 1999: 15-year-old Shawn Cooper fired two shotgun rounds at his school in Notus, Idaho, narrowly missing students. He was taking a prescribed SSRI antidepressant and Ritalin.
• On April 1, 1999, in Kittrell, North Carolina, twin 11-year-old boys opened fire in their family’s home, killing their father and wounding their mother and sister.
• On May 21, 1998, a 15-year-old Kip Kinkel killed his parents at their home and then methodically emptied 51 rounds from a semiautomatic rifle and a handgun at classmates at Thurston High School in Springfield, Oregon. Two students died and another 22 were injured. Kinkel had been taking the antidepressant Prozac. Kinkel had been attending “anger control classes” and was under the care of a psychologist.
• 200 miles north, in Onalaska, Washington, a 15-year-old boy boarded a school bus with a 9mm pistol in his hand demanding his girlfriend get off the bus with him. He then went home and shot himself in the head.
• On May 19, 1998, Jacob Davis, 18, shot and killed another student in the school parking lot in Fayetteville, Tennessee apparently because they had argued about a girl.
• On April 25, 1998, a 14-year-old-boy fatally shot a teacher and wounded two students at an eighth-grade dance in Edinboro Pennsylvania.
• On March 24, 1998, two students aged 11 and 13, in Jonesboro, Arkansas killed a teacher and four girls as they evacuated Westside Middle School during an apparent fire drill. Nine girls and one other teacher were wounded.
• On December 1, 1997, a 14-year-old student at Heath High School in West Paducah Kentucky walked into his school spraying the school hallway with gunfire, killing three students and wounding five others.
• On October 1, 1997, a 16 year-old student walked into his school expressionless, according to witnesses, and opened fire on schoolmates at Pearl High School in Mississippi, killing at least two people including a former girlfriend and injuring several others. The boy’s mother was later found dead of multiple stab wounds. Authorities later accuse six friends of conspiracy, saying the suspects were part of a group that dabbled in satanism.
• In February 1997, a 16-year-old student opens fire with a shotgun in a common area at the Bethel, Alaska, high school killing the school principal, one classmate, and wounding two others.
• In February 1996, a 14-year-old student turned an assault rifle on his algebra class, killing two classmates and a teacher, in the central Washington city of Moses Lake.
• A 15-year-old boy was arrested in rural Jackson Township, N.J., on charges of sexually assaulting and killing an 11-year-old.
• A 16-year-old boy at Detroit’s Denby High School was stabbed to death in January, 1996. Demetrius Anderson’s death followed by one day the beating of a 16-year-old Pershing High School student with a lead pipe by gang members just off school property. A week prior, a 16-year-old student at Northern High School was shot inside that school. A year previous to that, three students were shot at Denby, Pershing and Redford high schools in three separate incidents in one day.
• In January 1993, 17-year-old Scott Pennington walked into Deanna McDavid’s seventh-period English class at East Carter High School in Grayson, Kentucky, and shot her in the head. He then shot janitor Marvin Hicks in the abdomen.
• December 1992: Wayne Lo carried out his shooting rampage at Simon’s Rock College of Bard in Massachusetts, killing two and wounding four more. He surrendered to police after his rifle jammed.
• May 1992: Eric Houston, 20, killed four people and wounded 10 in an armed siege at his former high school in Olivehurst, California. Prosecutors said the attack was in retribution for a failing grade.
• In 1992, at Tilden High School in Chicago, Delondyn Lawson, age 15, was killed by two shots from a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun over the proceeds of a “dice game”. Two other students were also wounded in the gunfire.
• November 1991: Gang Lu shot five people to death, seriously wounded another, and then committed suicide at the University of Iowa.
• January 1983: In St. Louis, Missouri, Parkway South Junior High School Eighth-grader, David F. Lawler, shot two of his classmates then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.
• January 1979: Sixteen-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer used a rifle to wound eight children and one police officer at Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego, and to kill the principal Burton Wragg and the custonian Mike Suchar. Her reason for the shooting she said was because, “I don’t like Mondays. This livens up the day.”
• In New York City a 16 year-old boy was shot and killed by his 15 year-old best friend. The 15 year-old killed him and then stole the coat and shoes from the corpse. Worst of all, the teenage killer had no feeling of remorse.
• Another 15 year-old boy sprayed bullets around the parking lot of a convenience store, killing a teenage boy. When questioned later, he had not even a tinge of guilt or sorrow. Instead, he displayed hatred and a desire to do it all over again if he had the opportunity. He had no remorse whatsoever.
• 14-year-old Marcy Conrad of Milpitas, California, had been raped, strangled to death, and left lying off the road in the hills outside of town. According to the local paper, at least 13 students went out to look at her body. One girl picked up the murdered girl’s jeans, cut off a patch, and threw the jeans down along the side of the road. One student tried to cover the body with leaves. Another took his eight-year-old brother along to see the body. One boy went twice. Those who saw the body went back to class or to the pinball arcade. One went home to bed. Another student said he only cared about collecting the marijuana cigarette he had won on a bet that the body was real. As the newspaper reported: “The shock is the shock of the of the encounter with icy indifference, the indifference of the kids in the first instance, but much more importantly, of the culture that produced them… The depersonalization did not begin yesterday; it is not unique to this moment, yet it seems more complete – and they seem more alienated and isolated – than we have ever known before.”

What kind of despair drives children to this kind of violence?

Newsweek devoted its January 10, 1994 cover story to the disturbing topic:

“Growing Up Scared: How Our Kids Are Robbed of Their Childhood.”
In graphic terms, the article described the violent environment in which this generation of children is being raised. Some of them live in a combat zone. A child is 15 times more likely to be shot in the United States than in Northern Ireland. More American children are shot per year than are police officers. Parents in some inner-city neighborhoods make their kids sleep in bathtubs to protect them from stray bullets crashing through the walls. Some mothers keep short leashes on their little ones when walking through malls to protect them from potential molesters. Instruction is given to wide-eyed preschoolers on how to scream when approached by a stranger, and how to report unwelcome touches. Many children spend their after-school hours behind bolted doors and barred windows.

Riddled with gang violence, many of our inner cities have become powder kegs portending future collapse. Today, young people think about death and dying more than any other subject. In fact, surveys indicate they think about death even more than they think about the opposite sex. The demise of the traditional family and absence of religion have combined to create a culture of children who are morally retarded. In the wake of this, our Politically Correct society offers young people no consistent arguments against violence.
