Love Does Not Envy

Jeremiah Project Posted on March 1, 2023 by Vic BilsonFebruary 15, 2023

According to 1 Corinthians 13:4 “love does not envy.” (NKJV) To envy is to want what another has. Once again this morning I had to look at another translation other than the NLT because I did not feel comfortable with how it read. Maybe I am getting a message here. Who knows. The NLT says “love is not jealous,” however, I can read elsewhere that God is a jealous God so I decided to look at the NKJV for a … Continue reading →

Love Does Not Parade Itself

Jeremiah Project Posted on February 22, 2023 by Vic BilsonFebruary 15, 2023

“Love does not parade itself, is not puffed up,” according to 1 Corinthians 13:4. “Look at me” says our world and those who dwell in it. Recognition is something we all want, but when is it wrong to be recognized? It becomes wrong when you yourself are the one recognizing and then demanding that others recognize what you have done. Pride motivates this and God humbles the proud. Now you don’t want him to do that do you? “Blessed are … Continue reading →

Love Does Not Behave Rudely

Jeremiah Project Posted on February 17, 2023 by Vic BilsonFebruary 15, 2023

According to 1 Corinthians 13:5 love “does not behave rudely.” (1 Corinthians 13:5 NKJV) Said another way love behaves like a gentleman, not like a child wanting his own way. Yes there is such a thing as appropriate behavior for where you are and whom you are with. Love respects such boundaries. I remember being told as a child to be on my best behavior at certain times. Love promotes our best behavior. You see love cares enough about others … Continue reading →

Love is Patient and is Kind

Jeremiah Project Posted on February 15, 2023 by Vic BilsonFebruary 15, 2023

“Love is patient and is kind” according to 1 Corinthians 13:4. Today we take a look at the love is kind part. Again, as I did yesterday, I think looking at it from the other view helps. If love is kind then a lack of love shows up in the reverse. Thus love is not harsh, just my opinion though, as I define this. Let us see then what scripture adds to this. “Instead be kind to one another, tender … Continue reading →

Love Does Not Seek its Own

Jeremiah Project Posted on February 14, 2023 by Vic BilsonFebruary 15, 2023

We continue to look at love this morning. According to verse 5 of 1 Corinthians 13 love does not “seek its own.” I pondered this phrase and considered its meaning. The best I came up with was this. Love does not have a “my way or the highway attitude.” It doesn’t have to get its own way in everything. Let’s think about that. In a marriage you at times see this play out in the evening meal. He comes home … Continue reading →

Valentine’s Day and Love

Jeremiah Project Posted on February 13, 2023 by Vic BilsonFebruary 15, 2023
Valentine's Day

As we approach Valentine’s Day much is said of love, but what is love? For a few days I want to explore this topic and see what the Bible has to say. “Love is patient” we read in 1 Corinthians 13:4. I can thus reverse it by saying that love is not impatient. Love gives the object of itself time. Love does not therefore require instant gratification. I see this as a stumbling block in our time. So much in … Continue reading →

Cultural Marxism

Jeremiah Project Posted on January 23, 2023 by Vic BilsonFebruary 21, 2023

Emerging on the American scene in the mid-1930’s and igniting the culture war in recent years across America is what has been termed “Cultural Marxism“. Unlike traditional Marxism that focuses on economics, Cultural Marxism focuses on culture and maintains that all human behavior is a result of culture (not heredity / race) and thus malleable. Cultural Marxism is an offshoot of Marxism that gave birth to political correctness, and multiculturalism. The strategy of Cultural Marxism to bring change to America. … Continue reading →

Honor your Father and Mother

Jeremiah Project Posted on January 19, 2023 by Vic BilsonOctober 31, 2023
Superman

Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. [Exodus 20:12] “Daddy the Superhero” Brandon and Sean loved superheroes. They loved Superman and Batman and the Fantastic Four and dozens and dozens more. Their rooms were overflowing with action figures and comic books of all of the most amazing super heroes in the imaginary world and they knew their names and their stories to the tiniest little … Continue reading →

Trust in the Lord

Jeremiah Project Posted on January 6, 2023 by Vic BilsonJanuary 6, 2023
prayer

“Be still in the presence of the LORD and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry. Turn from your rage. Don’t lose your temper. It only leads to harm.” Psalm 37:7-8 Oh how easily we get all worked up. So much stupid currently is happening in our nation that it tends to make me want to scream. How about you? And how would God have … Continue reading →

Seven Major Teachings of the New Age

Jeremiah Project Posted on January 6, 2023 by Vic BilsonOctober 31, 2023
New Age

New Age is not new … it is a modern revival of ancient religious traditions, along with a potpourri of influences: Eastern mysticism, modern philosophy and psychology, science and science fiction, and the counterculture of the 50s and 60s. “… So here we are in the New Age, a combination of spirituality and superstition, fad and farce, about which the only thing certain is that it is not new. Nobody seems to know exactly where the term came from, but … Continue reading →

Demonstrating the Hegelian Dialectic Applied to Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic

Jeremiah Project Posted on November 30, 2022 by Vic BilsonSeptember 27, 2025
COVID 19

I don’t want to downplay the potential seriousness of the SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19 pandemic. There are parts of the disease that may be real and people are presumably dying from the infection. But, it’s also important to keep it in perspective.  At least 98 percent of those who catch COVID-19 make a full recovery. The pandemonium fear mongers are stoking is unbelievable. In the early days of the outbreak, we were being shown images of people dropping dead in the streets … Continue reading →

World Views: Atheism

Jeremiah Project Posted on November 15, 2022 by Vic BilsonAugust 26, 2025
atheist

Atheism claims there is no God. The word atheism is a transliteration of a Greek word which means “without God.” The word atheos is used in Ephesians 2:12 describing the condition of being without the true God. That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: – Ephesians 2:12 Christians were at one time called atheists because they … Continue reading →

Halloween Origins and Customs

Jeremiah Project Posted on October 30, 2022 by Vic BilsonOctober 24, 2023
Druid

History traces Halloween back to the ancient religion of the Celtics in Ireland. Halloween originated among the Irish Celts, Scots and Anglo-Saxons in Britain long before the Christian era. The Celtic people were very conscious of the spiritual world and had their own ideas of how they could gain access to it – such as by helping their over 300 gods to defeat their enemies in battle, or by imitating the gods in showing cleverness and cunning. Their two main … Continue reading →

A Cashless Society

Jeremiah Project Posted on October 8, 2022 by Vic BilsonFebruary 10, 2023
cyrptocurrency

Oh, how we love the convenience of our debit cards.  It’s great to not have to carry around cash all the time only to find ourselves short from time to time.  Yank out that debit card and wholla…. all is taken care of. Until recently, most people find it difficult to believe that a cashless society will ever come or if it does how they can be hurt by it.  After all, they love the convenience of their debit cards … Continue reading →

NWO Goal of World Depopulation

Jeremiah Project Posted on September 30, 2022 by Vic BilsonJuly 28, 2026
Georgia Guidestones

The goal of the New World Order to depopulate the world is not hidden. It’s a theme common in the environmental movement as they see mankind as a bacteria that needs to be eradicated.  A very visible and graphic representation of the new age agenda to reduce world population was a monument once erected in Elbert County, Georgia. The 20 feet tall “Georgia Guidestones” made from six granite slabs weighing more than 240,000 pounds contained a message comprising ten guides … Continue reading →
