The Emergence of a One World Religion
Babylon the Great is Fallen
The first attempt to establish a New World Order One World Religion was by a united humanity of the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating from the east, who came to the land of Shinar and built the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11).
Bab-il has a very interesting eytomology. The word Babel is from the Hebrew Ba-bhel, from Akkadian ba-b-ilu “gate of god.” Bab is the semitic word for gateway or portal and el means deity or god. So Bab-il means gate or portal to god.
These people were attempting to unite into a powerful ecumenical force, building their tower as a monument to a human “gate of god”. Genesis 11:5-9 describes God’s reaction to this early attempt.
But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. he Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called Babel—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth. – Gen 11:5-9
Babel is the name used in the Hebrew Bible for the city of Babylon, and is referenced numerous times in the book of Revelation (Revelation 16:19; Revelation 17:5; Revelation 18:2, Revelation 18:10, Revelation 18:21).
Babylon is depicted as a prostitute (Rev. 17:1) with whom the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries., “a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns” (Rev. 17:3), and “a great city that rules over the kings of the earth” (Rev. 17:18).
She is identified as Babylon (Rev. 18:10) or mankind’s last hubris act of defiance against God to build a “gate of god” that will be met with a more permanent fate than their earlier attempt at the Tower of Babel.
Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said: “With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again.” – Rev. 18:21
While many connect this end-time Babylon with the Roman Church and there may be some legitimate connection, I see this Babylon in a larger context represented by an end-time ecumenical religion embracing not only Roman Catholicism but apostate Protestants and other apostate religions.
There is only 1 way to God…
The Bible says that there is only one portal to God and refers to Jesus as the door or the gate…
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. – Matthew 7:13, 14, NIV
“I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” Jesus used this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was telling them. Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:1-10
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6
Antichrist Plan For a One World Religion
It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, {everyone} whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. – Revelation 13:7-8
The Antichrist’s plan for world domination includes bringing everyone together into a One World Religion with a NEW end-time Babylon – gate or portal to god.
For Satan to rule Earth autocratically, he must not only consolidate governments and currencies, but belief systems. (James Perloff, One-world religion as a cornerstone of the Illuminati plan, Henry Makow, April 2014).
Perloff says the long-term strategy of the Antichrist is to:
- Splinter a religion into sects on the “divide and conquer” principle;
- Assault the religion’s foundations, creating doubts among believers;
- Finally, herd the remnants together with other religions – i.e., ecumenism.
A historic interfaith covenant was signed in the Middle East in 2019, and the mainstream media in the United States has been almost entirely silent about it. Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb is considered to be the most important imam in Sunni Islam, joined hands with Pope Francis at a signing ceremony in Abu Dhabi. According to the official Vatican website, a tremendous amount of preparation went into the drafting of this document, and it encourages believers from all religions “to shake hands, embrace one another, kiss one another and even pray” with one another. According to the document produced by Pope Francis, all religions must be considered equal, and Islam is as acceptable to God as Christianity.
The Catholic-Muslim Interfaith Council Created By Pope Francis Announced New Chrislam Headquarters.
The United Arab Emirates will build a new synagogue as part of an Chrislam interfaith compound that will also house a mosque and church and is reportedly set to open in 2022. The design for the Abrahamic Family House, by the renowned architect David Adjaye, was unveiled during a meeting in New York of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity. The interfaith council was created to oversee projects advancing tolerance was formed as a result of the global peace covenant called the Document On Human Fraternity For World Peace signed by Pope Francis and Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb earlier in the year.
Can two walk together, except they be agreed? – Amos 3:3
A church, a synagogue and a mosque will share the same foundation in this landmark in the United Arab Emirates, located on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. But, you must ask, “If the foundation was truly the word of God, why are there three separate buildings?”
The Jews do not accept the New Testament nor do they accept Jesus as the Messiah. But if they would examine the portion of scripture that they do accept, plus certain of their written traditions that they overlook, the logical conclusion is that Jesus is the prophesied Messiah. Islam claims that Christians and Jews changed the Bible, so it cannot be relied upon and Muslims also do not accept New Testament teachings about the divinity of Jesus.
Modern Ecumenical Movement
The modern ecumenical movement throws open a “wide” gate beckoning everyone to come in with a great emphasis on uniting professing Christians of all denominations and beliefs.
The message is that we’re not so different after all… we can work together. Setting aside theological differences, we can help each other in the things we all agree upon.
That effort is commonly referred to as “ecumenism,” which is defined as “the organized attempt to bring about the cooperation and unity of all believers in Christ.”
BEWARE
“Take heed that no man deceive you.”… “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”…”For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” – Matthew 24:4;11;24
The Modern Ecumenical Movement is Born
James Perloff writes in Truth Is a Lonely Warrior how John Foster Dulles was chosen to spearhead the ecumenism drive with the expansion of the Rockefeller funded National Council of Churches. Dulles was a Rockefeller in-law, chairman of the Rockefeller Foundation trustees, a founding CFR member who helped draft the UN Charter.
Not content with unifying America’s churches, Dulles traveled to Amsterdam in 1948 to attend the founding conference of The World Council of Churches. Director of research for this foundation-funded conference was John Bennett – president of Union Theological and a CFR member.
With structures for consolidation in place, the question remained: how to motivate churches to unite. Since denominations often disagree on theology, the strategy was to encourage collaboration where they did agree: values (e.g., helping the poor and sick.) This materialized in an action-based program, “the Social Gospel” (socialism masked as religion.)
Called “Father of the Social Gospel,” Walter Rauschenbusch (1861-1918), grew up in a German Lutheran immigrant family in New York. He studied theology at the University of Rochester, one of hundreds of educational and “Christian” institutions funded by John D. Rockefeller. After pastoring a Baptist Church among poor immigrants in New York City for a few years, he joined the faculty at Rochester Theological Seminary — also funded by Rockefeller.
From this prominent platform, he wrote books such as “Christianizing the Social Order” and “A Theology for the Social Gospel.” Steeped in “higher criticism” and socialist ideology, he taught what many considered a more relevant and compassionate gospel. As a result, he “changed both the emphases and the direction of American Protestantism.” (Treason in the Church)
Perhaps the most notorious “Social Gospel” pusher: Rockefeller-backed Reverend Harry F. Ward, who long taught at Union Theological. Ward, the ACLU’s first chairman, was called by labor leader Samuel Gompers “the most ardent pro-Bolshevik cleric in this country.” Ward helped found the Methodist Federation for Social Action, which advised Christians to downplay the Gospel and fight for things like social justice, better labor conditions, and “world peace” – i.e., the goals Marxists proclaimed.
Missionary work was targeted. In 1930, John D. Rockefeller, Jr. funded the “Laymen’s Foreign Missions Inquiry,” which recommended missionaries downplay Christian doctrines and ally with other religions in doing good works. Although most denominations were critical of the report, former missionary Pearl Buck praised it in the media. Subsequently her novel The Good Earth received the Nobel Prize.
This “unity through action” strategy continues today.
The modern foundation for this ecumenical trend has been laid and built upon over many years. We saw the beginning of institutional ecumenism in the 1960’s, with The World Council of Churches, mostly liberal mainline Protestant denominations who denied such essential doctrines as the inerrancy of Scripture and a literal, bodily resurrection of Christ. For years, Evangelicals distanced themselves from this institutional ecumenism because of the unsound theology of the groups involved.
Today, however, that spirit of compromise has invaded Evangelicalism. The more recent Catholic-Evangelical accord is an example of such compromise. In this accord, Evangelicals compromised essential doctrines such as justification by faith alone and the sufficiency of Scripture in order to unite with Roman Catholics on issues such as abortion and school prayer.
And, how can anyone ignore the ecumenical influence of the Promise Keepers movement sweeping the nation?
Chrislam is an attempt to synchronize Christianity with Islam. While it began in Nigeria in the 1980s, Chrislamic ideas have spread throughout much of the world. The essential concept of Chrislam is that Christianity and Islam are compatible, that one can be a Christian and a Muslim at the same time. While some attempt to describe similarities between Christianity and Islam (and Judaism, for that matter), Chrislam ultimately fails because Christianity and Islam are diametrically opposed on the most important of issues – the identity of Jesus Christ.
While I don’t see anything wrong with peace between the two religions, provided they are allowed to disagree and reasonably discuss their disagreements, there is a problem with trying to take two contrary worldviews and put them together.
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. – 1 John 4:2-3
Perhaps one of the loudest voices within the Christian community espousing this Chrislam heresy is the pastor of Saddleback Church in Orange County, California, Rick Warren. He has embarked on an effort to heal divisions between evangelical Christians and Muslims by partnering with Southern California mosques and proposing a set of theological principles that includes acknowledging that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. The effort, informally dubbed King’s Way, caps years of outreach between Warren and Muslims.
Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life (over 30 million sold) is America’s current Social Gospel point man. In 2008, backed by a $2 million Rupert Murdoch donation, Warren launched the PEACE Coalition. Time magazine headlined it: “RICK WARREN GOES GLOBAL.” Warren said the coalition’s goal was “to mobilize 1 billion Christians worldwide.” Warren, who is a CFR member, gave the invocation at Obama’s inauguration, and was dubbed “America’s pastor” by CNN. [James Perloff]
These are voices coming from within the Church that are deceiving the “hearts of the simple” (Rom. 16:18) and “the very elect” (Mat. 24:24) with the satanic agenda of a one world religion. Believer’s had better wake up soon before it’s too late.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. – Matthew 7:21-23
Compromising the Truth
The undiluted preaching from God’s Word and an authoritative stand on truth seem to be on the decline. What we’re seeing instead is Modernism, a broadening of the gospel, a redefining of what it means to be a Christian, and a growing emphasis on inclusion and tolerance of those that do not hold to the biblical doctrine of Christ.
Discerning the Times 2010 Conference
The term ‘Emerging Church’ is used to describe a broad, controversial movement that seeks to use culturally sensitive approaches to reach the postmodern, un-churched population with the Christian message.
Ecumenism has come to mean “reducing all elements of faith to the lowest common denominator. God’s Word is neglected, experience is valued above truth, a false and selfish “faith” is promoted, and sound doctrine and correction are despised as “divisive” and “unloving.”
Ignoring the Scriptures, numerous evangelical leaders today claim that a concern for doctrine causes division and therefore should be avoided for the sake of love and unity among the brethren. The Scriptures, however, couldn’t be more specific in its opposition to such a teaching.
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. [Romans 16:17-18]
Divisions are created by teachings that are contrary to sound doctrine. Unity in the faith is impossible without the doctrine of Christ. Without such a foundation we have no basis for the faith, for the gospel, for knowing Jesus, or for knowing anything pertinent to the Truth.
“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son” [2 John 1:9].
The glittering terminology of ecumenical is seen, on close examination, to be as hollow as a soap bubble and just as slippery and hard to hold onto. Where is the “common ground” between belief and unbelief? A believer cannot ignore the “major theological differences” between him and an unbeliever. Instead, he should be cutting through those differences with the Sword of the Word to win the unbeliever to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. I cannot agree to ignore an unbeliever’s condition without, by that very act, compromising my beliefs. For my beliefs include the Great Commission, which requires me to tell the world of the gospel of Jesus.
Behold the emergence of the ecumenical apostate church…
the bride of Antichrist!
The truth offends those who don’t want to hear it. Yet to speak anything less is to trifle with the eternal destiny of souls. Ecumenism’s promise of “unity” is tempting, but it denies Christ and paves the way for the Antichrist and his new world religion. It is a unification that will ultimately lead to destruction.
True unity is not sought by pretending that there are no differences, as modern ecumenists have done, but by recognizing and respecting those differences, while focusing on the great orthodox truths all Christians share. Articulated in the classic confessions and creeds, it embraces such fundamentals as the Virgin birth, the deity of Christ, the Atonement, the Resurrection, the authority of Scripture, and the Second Coming.
Man-made unity is not what God desires. He wants a holy people. Many Christians believe that unity in itself will bring about a holy revival. But unity cannot bring holiness, only holiness can bring about true unity. For when God’s people start seeking to live, worship and pray according to the Holy Word of God, then God Himself will answer Jesus’ prayer and make those who seek Him, truly “one!” THEN God will unite the hearts of those who love Him, and hate sin and error, and He will truly shine forth from the midst of such a people – the true people of God!
The Believers Response to Ecumenism
The unification of the various national identities, races, and religions can only be achieved through the eradication of sin. That means only through the Lord Jesus Christ can we become perfectly one. The other avenue to unite people, the program of the Antichrist, will only be accomplished temporarily through deception.
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6
Modern Christian Ecumenical Movements
Even a cursory review of what has taken place in the Church during the last 25 years will reveal a fierce undermining of the faith. Precisely as the Bible warns, today’s most effective enemies of Christ are those who claim to be Christians and call mankind not just to any old false religion but to a counterfeit Christianity.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. – 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
Modern Non-Christian Ecumenical Movements
Growing alongside the Christian ecumenical movement are those non-Christian movements with basically the same message: uniting the world into a one world religion that is inclusive of all beliefs.

Sorry about that… there does seem to be a problem when printing with Chrome browser. Firefox and Edge seem to work better for printing.
Sherman, you are very wise. It is all about a relationship with him. Does he know you? Do you talk to him daily and walk with him? You will find him in scripture and your faith will help you through. Jesus is the only way.
I am a new convert to Christianity. I lived a lifestyle of depravity in promiscuity, prostitution, drugs, rock and roll, that during my youth I felt was the natural, expressive way to live. It brought me spiritual death.
It’s hard though, in this new walk, because it seems like everyone has a different version of truth.
Right now my choice is to live by the 10 commandments as a result of my faith in hopes for salvation, but I can’t even know for certainty the true sabbath day?
Sherman, There is only one truth, the word of God. The Lord Jesus is the TRUTH.
“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” – John 1:17 KJB.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” – Romans 6:14 KJB.
If saved by our Lord Jesus Christ, you are not UNDER THE LAW, but under His grace. Plus, the law of Moses was given to Israel, and the Sabbath was a sign between the Lord and Israel.
The grace of the true and living God came by the Lord Jesus Christ.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB.
It is the grace of God that saves, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. It is NOT OF YOURSELVES.
It is not by the deeds of the law of Moses, neither OF WORKS. It is the GIFT OF GOD.
“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” – Romans 3: 20-28 KJB.
There is no keeping the law of Moses, nay, we justified freely by His grace through Christ Jesus.
By His grace, through faith in Christ WE ARE SAVED the moment we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Here is the will of God…the work of God…
“Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”
– John 6:29 KJB.
We are not saved by works, nor by the keeping of the law or the sabbath.
We must REST in the Lord Jesus Christ, and His works on our behalf. He is our RIGHTEOUSNESS.
We repent of our own ways and our own works towards God with unfeigned faith in His Son, placing our trust in His great salvation.
Amen.
The 10 commandments are Yahweh’s law and not the law of Moses. Yahweh’s law is written on stone and they are not nor cannot be nailed to anything but through Yeshua’s sacrifice and the working of the Holy Spirit written on the hearts of believers. Moses’ is that which Yahweh told Moses to write such as the laws on sacrifices, laws on clean and unclean animals, laws on leprosy etc etc. The 10 commandments written on our hearts are obligatory and if you read in context Paul was not advocating not to worship on Sabbath. Or do the words of Yeshua mean nothing ‘I did not come to abolish the law’
